Even if the situation seems awful for Torino (they’re currently on a relegation spot), I don’t see them fighting for relegation this season. They have a far better team than that, so from my point of view management is dragging the team down. It’s incredible that in 9 home games, Torino managed to draw 5 times, lose 4 times, and win nothing, making them the worst team in Serie A at home games. Away they’re doing mediocre with 8 points from 2 victories, 2 draws, and 5 defeats, but at least they scored 13 goals, which is above average at away games.
Benevento is currently in an unexpected 11 place with 21 points from 6 victories and 3 draws in 18 games. In the last 3 games, they managed to beat Cagliari 2-1 away and lose 4-1 at Crotone and 4-1 at Atalanta at home. A team that recently started to score goals, but also to suffer more, which is worrying given the fact that at home they’re a mediocre team with the same number of points as Torino away and the same line.
For this game Sau, Letizia and Schiattarella are not going to play for Benevento while Bonazzoli is out for Torino and possibly Vojvoda (who is currently recovering and could start the game).
Even if the standings seem in reverse, I see Torino favorite here, given the fact that they never lost against Benevento in 4 games so far (3 victories, 1 draw) and odds are pretty good.
