Hertha Berlin – Schalke 04, Asian Handicap 0 Schalke 04, Stake 10/10, odd 1.95 at Betfair (0-0 DRAW)
PREVIEW: With 33 points, Schalke 04 dropped to 6th position after losing 5-0 at Bayern Munich last week. It was an unexpectedly poor performance for them, especially since they only had 1 shot on target whole game. Because of that, they dropped 2 places and lost the best defensive team in Bundesliga to Dortmund. Hertha Berlin, on the other hand, managed to win 2-1 at Wolfsburg and climbed up a spot from the dangerous zone. Hertha is a pretty poor team at home winning only 10 points from 9 games and receiving 18 goals, which is a lot even for a mid-table team. The current form in the past 10 games is better for Schalke, with 5 victories, 3 draws, and 2 defeats, while Hertha is the exact opposite: 3 victories, 2 draws and 5 defeats. Also head-to-head between these teams doesn’t come to Hertha’s advantage, because in the past 6 games, Schalke won 4 times, 1 draw and Hertha only won once (a 2-0 away in September 2018), the same year that Schalke had one of their worst seasons, being close to relegation.
It’s important to notice that Hertha’s last four home league games had at least one goalless half, therefore we can expect a balanced game and I see Under 1 goal in the first half. Schalke’s last four away league wins had them scoring in both halves, but I’m not sure this can happen again at this game.
Schalke can’t count on Sane who’s got a knee injury and Stambouli, who’s having a foot injury, while Maier is questionable for Berlin. Serdar is Schalke’s top scorer with seven goals, most of them coming in the second half.
