PREVIEW: Crystal Palace find themselves unbeaten in their last three Premier League (PL) games (W2, D1), their joint-longest streak in the league without a loss this season. They face fierce rivals Brighton and Hove Albion knowing they’re yet to suffer defeat this season when deemed the pre-match favourite (W3, D1), all of which were at Selhurst Park.
Entertainment in the form of goals hasn’t been the name of the game for the ‘Eagles’ this season as their PL matches have averaged only 2.00 goals – the lowest in the league going into this round of fixtures. Seven of their eight PL home encounters contained under 2.5 goals, but only the current PL top-three has defeated them at home.
Brighton have earned plaudits for their approach under manager Graham Potter but they’re actually two points worse off now than at this stage last season. Nevertheless, the ‘Seagulls’ are in decent form over their last seven games (W3, D1, L3), with only Liverpool, Leicester and Manchester United beating them in that period.
