Romania Liga 1
CFR Cluj – FCSB, Under 2.25, Stake 6/10, odd 1.81 at 888Bet (1-0 WIN)
PREVIEW: CFR Cluj was very unconvincing this winter training, where they played 4 games against Setif, Dundalk, Wehen and Holsten Kiel. They lost against Setif and Kiel, drew against poor Wehen and beat Dundalk by 2-1.
On the other hand FCSB (former Steaua Bucharest) won 2 games, against Jeonbuk and Karlsruher, drew against Lokomotiv Moscow and lost against the strong team of Basel.
What’s more interesting is that CFR managed to bring 2 very important players, Alexandru Chipciu (former FCSB idol) and Denis Ciobotariu from Dinamo Bucharest. The same day Chipciu was presented at Cluj, the Romanian champion sacked keeper Vatca and Penteleu, both of them playing very few games in the current season. Petrescu is still looking to bring Denis Alibec and Constantin Budescu from Astra, but chances are pretty low, since both players are more interested to play abroad.
On the other hand FCSB lost Cristi Manea, a very good player, but constantly criticized by FCSB’s owner. They brought 2 youngsters from Poli Iasi: Stefan Tarnovanu and Andrei Tanase, but none of them are real stars.
Both teams are pretty balanced and there’s always been a tough call between these 2 teams. The main reason I see there will be few goals in this game, is that in the past 12 games, there has never been a single game that had more than 2.5 goals in it. I repeat, past 12 games had less than 2.5 goals, which is incredible. Most common result between these 2 teams is a draw, which happened in 9 of the last 12 games. FCSB won 2 times and CFR once. I think there will also be a draw here, possibly 0 – 0 or 1-1, but most likely there won’t be more than 2.5 goals in this game. I will place a medium to a bit high stake on this game to end with few goals.
